Welcome

Hello I’m John McMahon, a Marist Brother living in Melbourne. Welcome to our Blog. We have been developing it for a few years and are now in the process of reshaping it. Two ideas are emerging in our thinking .’Why do we have this Blog’ and ‘ what is the Story feeding our Blog - or if you prefer what context lies behind our Blog?’. We welcome your suggestions at john.mcmahon@marists.org.au

In response to the first idea:

I believe our Marist Blog can provide a place for us to share about Marist life and mission.

In response to the second:

Our global Marist community commenced in 1817 in France when Fr Marcellin Champagnat established his small community of Brothers in the wake of the Revolution.

Today, we men and women, strive to live St Marcellin's vision of educating young people to contribute enthusiastically to our contemporary world.
